OH MAN so exhausted from ECCC, but I had an amazing time.  Loved getting to chat with everyone who stopped by the booth, y’all were so goddamn nice!  I will be blushing for the next week.

Here’s a quick sample of some of my con sketches from this year- I was actually doing so much talking that I couldn’t take on as many as I would have liked, but I had a blast doing them.  Am now considering giving a discount to anyoe who asks me to draw a “crusty old knight” because damn that was fun

Watching the first two episodes of The Legend of Korra has gotten me all excited about the Avatar series again. I love how the characters move when bending. Inspired, I did a couple sketches of my own.

As of March 23, 2012, Disney Legend Glen Keane has left the Walt Disney animation studios. Glen served as a mentor to several Disney artists and a hero to those aspiring to work for the company. This post is in honor of his outstanding work in animation, his ability to breathe life into that which was once without and his dedication to the Walt Disney company.

Yamino gave me some very helpful crit and some truths: i need to get out of my comfort zone!

those last sketches were incredibly lazy (i will make an excuse… i was talking on the phone with my mom and am nursing a hangover), but that doesn’t excuse bad sketches!!!

so i took yamino’s advice and brushed up on my muscle anatomy. korra is muscular!!! if i wanna draw copious amounts of fanart, i’m gonna have to work hard to make her look that way. :D hopefully these are a bit better. thanks, yamino! she’s a great friend.
