anybody else find this really hard to do?
It is usually hard to do, because we all forget too easily to be here. Now. There are so many things going on: work, meetings, chores, alarms, demands, the cat meowling, the boredom yapping how bored you are.
We forget that the best way to live fully, completely, is to live in the present moment. Here and now. What’s happening right now? How fast are you breathing? What are you touching? What are your emotions? How alive do you feel at this very moment?
It’s the hardest and easiest to ever do: living here and now.
Take a conscious breath as often as you can, feel your body breathing in, and out. Focus on that, and nothing else. I find that this is a great way to break away from how noisy life can be, and to remember to be Here, and Now.
