One of my favorite fairy tale figures is Baba Yaga, an old witch who lives in an enchanted forest, rides a mortar instead of a broom, lives in a house with chicken legs and usually has three magical sons. I have an obsession with witches in general, but something about this old Russian spell caster really captures my imagination.
I think one day i’d like to write about the adventures of her youth. How she became powerful and delightfully evil (although she is good in a couple of tales). So, here you go, young Baba Yaga (who would have a different name, since Baba means old woman. Maybe just Yaga?).
Isa, that would be AWESOME, as I’m also a Baba Yaga fan, AND your drawing is DELICIOUS!! (have you ever read the one from the book Women Who Run with the Wolves? I recommend it!)

HEY YOU GUYS GUESS WHAT Bioshock: Infinite is out and I can finally show some of the visual development I did for the game! :D Pretty excited over here.
Figured I’d start off with my dress design process for young Liz, since her alternate outfit has been getting a lot of coverage (no pun intended) over the past couple of months. Irrational wanted a period- and age-appropriate look, so that’s what I was aiming for. I’ve got some more stuff I can share out tomorrow, but I didn’t want to overload you guys with art posts. :)
-C, who is definitely picking up her pre-order after work
(Tremendous thanks to Jorge Lacera and the team at Irrational for briefly welcoming me into the fold- as a huge fan of the franchise I was blown away when they hit me up to do some concept work, and it was an absolute pleasure to contribute in even the tiniest way to what is looking to be an amazing game.)
Oh geezus, you did designs for Bioshock? ughhh<3

Space Paladin and limited color version for the woman warriors zine Abby, Julia, and Roxie are putting together for MoCCA. From the work I’ve seen for it, looks like the zine’s gonna be bonkers. Might do a limited print run of that top one. Inspired by Andrea’s space babes and Sailor Moon backgrounds.
Wow, this is awesome in so many ways.

My idols by *Julipy
These are my favorite artists from DeviantArt (I discovered most of them here) and Tumblr. These sites have given me the chance to learn a lot from the art of all these amazing people and I’m grateful for that.
Katie & Shaggy Shanahan (~ktshy & [link]) - Katie is my role model since the very first moment I read one of her comics. And, actually… Shaggy doesn’t draw but I had to add him here! I couldn’t draw Katie without him, I just love the two of them. They’re genious. And one of my favorite comics from all time are their lovely “Shrub Monkeys”
Mckenna Harris (*pocket-picasso & [link]) - Have you seen her gallery? Her characters are the cutest thing in the world. And I cry like a baby every time she uploads one of her “Musical Madness” (god bless her patience and effort) Also, she’s so lively and nice!
Chloé C (*batlesbo & [link]) - Her style is beautiful, smooth and feminine. And she’s the happiest hippie on Earth! What’s not to love?
Humon (*humon) This girl has a wild imagination. I just love her stories and characters. I’ve been addicted to her comics for years.
Ross Campbell (`mooncalfe & [link]) He’s one of the few artist that I already knew when I joined DA. I think he has the most peculiar style of all. (And I’m sure I’ve learnt a lot because of that) My love for him began with “Wet moon” but now I’m really enjoying “Shadoweyes”
Faith Erin Hicks (~damnskippy & [link]) I somehow discovered her comics thanks to Katie Shanahan and since then, I’ve been following every site she has. I loved “Friends with boys” and her articles about being a comic creator.
Burdge (*burdge-bug & [link]) I just love her fanarts. She has a gift to draw the cutest couples from all fandoms. And I really really like the fact that she doesn’t even need any color to make you fall for her drawings. Her sketches are that amazing.
Yamino (`Yamino & [link]) I have to admit it: at first I didn’t really like her style. But then I just fell in love with her webcomic. And once you start reading her tumblr you can’t help but becoming a huge fan. I’ve read the most amazing and interesting things there. And she writes a lot about the insights of making comics and characters’ design (which I love)
De’Von Stubblefield (~drawrstubbs & [link]) This guy is a genious. His style is unique and classy. And he seems so nice and well-balanced. He’s such an inspiration for me.
Vika (*viria13 & [link]) I truly love her fanarts. I become a wild fangirl every time she draws a full body character. They look so well proportioned (even though she always complains about the anatomy of her drawings… girl, you should check my gallery and cry)
Marlo Meekins ([link]) She’s my last artist addition to the list. When I found her tumblr I spent the whole morning looking at her comics and drawings. Her style is so funny and expressive. I really like it.
And finally… my guilty pleasure (because he has no deviantArt or Tumblr
) the one that HAS to appear every time I speak about my favorite artists… Pepe Larraz. The master. [link]
I knew which one was me before I even saw the names. You got my evil smile perfectly.

I’m flattered to be included with these awesome people. <3
Awww, geez I’m honored thank you!! <3
